Mullaghameen Forest

Mullaghameen Forest is the largest beech forest in Ireland and is located near Castlepollard. Mullaghameen Forest is an isolated area of forest rising above the farm land of north Westmeath.

Beautiful to walk in all seasons, with a range of walks and varying lengths and levels. The center of Mullaghmeen is 264m which is the highest point of Westmeath. Once reached the summit of Mullaghmeen you will see the magnificent views north across Lough Sheelin and into the neighboring county of Cavan.
