• Since 1986, the club has won nine senior football county championships, the premier competition in Westmeath. The club’s last senior title was won in 2018, we were beaten in the county final of 2014 and in the semi-final in 2015.
• In 2018, Mullingar Shamrocks won the Senior Championship and this was 85th county title won by the club since its foundation in 1953.
Under-Age Football
• In under-age football, Mullingar Shamrocks enter teams in the Under-12 (x 2), Under-14 (x 2), Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 league and championships and in the Under-20 championship which does not have a league competition. Each of these age groups (excluding under-20) caters for a panel of roughly 25 players; therefore the club has an active playing population of approximately 120 players in the age group 11-18.
• In addition, from April to September annually, regular Saturday morning coaching sessions take place for under-6, under-8, under-10 year and under-12s. These age groups do not have competitive football but a regular programme of games is organised by the club for the club with an emphasis on fun and participation modelled on the GAA’s Go-Games Concept. Approximately 70-80 young boys and girls are involved in this activity.
