Mullingar Pet Hospital celebrated 25 years in business on Patrick Street in June 2020. Owner and veterinary surgeon David Fagan has completely renovated and modernised the clinic, with cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene in mind.
David opened the doors to his dedicated small animal practice on June 7 1995, making him the third generation of the Fagan family to do business on that site on Patrick Street.
The first was his grandfather, Charlie Fagan, a TD in Westmeath for 30 years, who set up the Mullingar Livestock Agency in 1954 (it ran until 2002).
Charlie’s son, Edward Fagan, a councillor in Westmeath for 30 years, ran the Mullingar Livestock Agency with partners until 2002, when Frank Kelly transformed the area into Market Point.
In honour of this, the official opening of the renovated practice was performed by David’s father, Edward.
The Veterinary Council of Ireland approved hospital provides a friendly and professional service, and David strives to make any visit to the practice as stress-free as possible, for his clients and their treasured animals.
