About

Following on from the success of The Stables it was decided to renovate the adjoining cottage. Completing the renovation project in 10 weeks. Finishing on Monday 14th of September 2020. One year to the day of their starting date of The Stables. Their aim for The Cottage is to provide a luxury retreat that affords a slice of country living on modern terms with peace and tranquility on the outskirts of Mullingar. The style of both The Stables and The Cottage are similar but individual and special in their own way.

Irishtown House was featured on The Independent Weekend Travel by Nicola Brady in an article titled “25 creative staycations: Beat the crowds (and high prices) with these innovative home-holiday ideas” on 27th February 2021

“This beautiful stable conversion opened last year, and looks like it’s straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie. Filled with light and gorgeous little fixtures, this is a place where you can forget all about the piles of laundrey and broken doorknobs at home. While they don’t accommodate children under 12, it’s proved a popular spot for families with teenagers, who head out on the Royal Canal Greenway or Derrymore Springs nearby.”
