They started rescuing animals and wildlife earlier this year and they are inundated with calls but they enjoy it. Chris has been in organic farming for over 35 years but took a step back from traditional farming to work with the Department of Agriculture to focus solely on organics and developing the natural land. They are also very passionate about biodiversity and preserving and developing our natural farmland habitat. Chris has put many, many years into preserving our natural wildlife and native woodland. He has wild bird cover, preserved bogland for 15 years which has developed into a wonderland of bog cotton and diverse wildlife, there is 6 acres of birch and 30 acres of untouched forestry. In the last 5 years over 12,000 trees have been planted.

Across the farm there are bat boxes, bird boxes and more recently they have teamed up with the John from the Barn Owl Project to put up Owl boxes and a wildlife tower. They are delighted to be representatives in Longford/Westmeath region to work with landowners and other farmers who want to put up Barn Owl Boxes in suitable areas.  They will call out and help anyone interested to get them set up to help with the conservation of Barn Owls in Ireland.  Either contact the website or call them on the information below.

They look forward in the coming year to bring a fabulous wildlife & nature reserve where you can walk through the farm and learn about their natural wildlife on their doorstep, along with their Open Farm. They are committed to the protection of wildlife and developing the farm to ensure you have a real farm life experience.
